Keeping coffee
although I don't usually drink flavored coffee (decaf), I did try some pumpkin spice which would fit the bill as an occasional dessert coffee during the fall. It's already ground. I cant see myself drinking any more than a few cups a week. What is the best way to keep it sort of fresh? I understand that the freezer isn't the place for coffee ( although a true aficionado would probably blanch at calling this stuff "coffee" anyway!). Thanks!

On the other hand, if it's PRE-GROUND, and FLAVORED, I honestly wouldn't save it . . . pre-ground coffee will stale much more rapidly -- even in the freezer -- than whole bean.

I think the more air you can keep out of it, the better. If you have a vacuum sealer, that might be a good way to go. The regular Ziploc bags (not the kind with the slider) are often reasonably airtight. A regular jar or plastic container will work if you fill it to the brim. I do like keeping it in the freezer, but it needs to be well sealed so it doesn't absorb odors.
Or you could throw it away and buy some nice fresh-roasted, oily, dark beans. I kid, I kid.
