We have had no luck finding a descent place from which to order good delivery pizza. Have tried yelp and others and just end up getting disappointed. Anyone else figure this one out???

You might try "Pizzacos Italian Eatery" - 3605 Ashland
Has good thin crust. Much thicker than Apart and more NY style than Chicago style as you can fold it over and the crust has a nice chew to it. Delivery has been very reliable

I've had decent luck with Art of Pizza and Apart as well. You might also consider picking up a pizza at Spacca di Napoli, I realize you are asking about delivery but since they take no time to make the pizza (they are really thin), it's almost always faster than delivery.

Where have you ordered from? That will help narrow down suggestions. I live in Lincoln Square and I order from Calo's (thin only) and Chicago/Giordano's (stuffed). I didn't like Pete's or Art of Pizza at all. Apart Pizza is pretty good for East Coast (?) style pizza.

Thanks for your reply, lbs. Near Western and Montrose. Apart is okay, very near, but their delivery system is pretty messed up/takes forever. I agree about Pete's and Art of Pizza. Armand's started out making good pizza, but then started using inferior ingredients. I Monelli is just okay; not crazy about that style of pizza. Maybe will try and see if Calo delivers to us...

I'm at Western/Wilson and Calo's delivers to me. I don't like Calo's deep-dish but I love the thin crust. Agree with Apart delivery. Have heard decent to excellent reviews of Marie's on Lawerence/Pulaski but have never had. I want to see if Candlelite delivers to me since they got back on the game and the pizza in house has been great lately.

However, when I order pizza I hate getting a bad pie so I usually stick to what I know I like and what I grew up with which is Calo's. It is my go-to comfort food.

EDITED TO ADD: When I order pizza, I don't normally go for the "classic" Chicago deep-dish since I only like Lou's or Pizano's and they don't deliver to me. I only eat that style in the restaurant or when other family picks it up. I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for when you order pizza so my recommendations might be off for you.

Agree about Lou's and Pizano's.....wish they delivered out here.

I've not gotten delivery from Marie's, but have eaten in and gotten takeout on several occasions, and it is DELICIOUS. If they deliver to you, definitely give them a shot (they also will deliver beer/wine/liquor from the attached liquor store, which is a fun perk).
