Dorchester dinner recs?

So..we are meeting some friends for dinner....need to be somewhere in the Dorchester vicinity. Thoughts are Ashmont Grill. D Bar, Tavolo..? Haven't been to Ashmont Grill in years tho' it was okay when we last went. It'll be 4 folks on a Sat night, reservations would be great OR a place that would be able to take us at 7ish without a problem. We like good food, casual atmosphere, a vibrant lively spot that's a fun place to enjoy a meal. But since I haven't been to any of these places lately, I'm not sure how they rate. Or is there somewhere else in that area you might recommend? Thanks in advance.

I really like the Ledge, and if the weather stays like this their outdoor patio may be open. If you're open to Indian food the Shanti is always good.

Finally made it to Tavolo this summer. Had the Icarus polenta starter that was out of this world-with wild mushrooms and marsala sauce. My DC had the wild mushroom pizza which was also wonderful-even when reheated the next day. Can't remember my main so it wasn't as memorable I guess. But a guy next to us says he orders the same thing every time-the spaghetti and meatballs. I've heard good things about those meatballs.

Savin Kitchen & Bar has improved since it opened. It is located across from Savin Hill train station where C.F. Donovan's used to be. I heard Ledge on Dorchster Ave. has improved also.
