Anyone been to Duda's in Fell's Point recently?

I've never been there, but it seems like people gushed about it a few years ago and now I keep reading that it kind of smells. Anyone have any first-hand, recent reports?

I'm a big fan of everything mentioned above, but I have a special weakness for their chili cheese fries. They make their own chili, so that what is mediocre bar food at most places becomes this deliciously decadent meal.

Just went last night -- the fisherman's chowder was really good (special of the day), my gf reported that the fried haddock was hot, crispy on the outside and light and flaky on the inside, and the burgers were quite good. :) And they have Resurrection on tap...

I've only had their crabcakes on half-price crabcake nights -- they were good, but I do prefer Faidleys. I've heard that the crabcakes are better (use higher quality crab meat) on non-half price days, though.

We live in the neighborhood and go every few weeks. It's one of our main go-to places for a solid burger, crabcake, fish sandwich, steamed shrimp, etc. Plus beers. It's basically the definition of a good neighborhood bar, and is a darn pleasant place to have a relatively quiet bite and a drink.

I haven't been in a month or two, but IMO it's always good...especially the crabcakes, burgers, wings and mussels...and of course, the beer.
