Source for buffalo milk?

Does anyone know where I can buy buffalo milk in order to make my own mozzarella? Preferably in the San Diego vicinity.

Buffalo mozzarella is made from water buffalo, not the North American 'bison' that is also referred to as buffalo. To my knowledge, there are no water buffalo herds in the US. Perhaps someone will prove me wrong.

The Gerber family tried to raise them up in the northeast somewhere. They proved too expensive to raise, or didn't yield enough milk for the cost and they closed up shop.

I thought someone was raising Water Buffalo up near LA (warning: the poster is from San Diego, and thus has a tendency to refer to anywhere north of Oceanside, as "up near LA"). Hey, I found it:
