So i'm turning 21 next week. and i plan on celebrating it with a group of friends my idea is to head out to a restaurant for maybe a total of 8 people.
I really wanted to go to Sofrito but they're book at the time i want.
I want a place that's nicely decorated, good food! tasty desserts. Nothing asian.
Um i dont know help!!!
or maybe some live entertainment as well.

Try Nuela or Empellon - both are Latin restaurants at around the same price point as Sofrito and are also good for groups. Not sure about live music though.

Empellon is fantastic, but a bill for 8 people is likely to exceed $600 if everyone has two cocktails or more. also, while the drinks are nicely mixed, they're not that strong.

i would look at Havana Alma de Cuba. they have live music on certain nights and the food is some of the best Cuban in Manhattan.

that said, i much prefer Empellon over HAdC, but be cautious of the cost.

You might try Boom on Spring St in Soho - They have live music on Friday and Saturday nights.
Food is italian - very good for sharing dishes.
