  1. Newcombs on route 28 south in Milton is a local favorite. Not far from milton high and Milton academy.

    1. Milton doesn't have a lot of dining options, but I like Abby Park in East Milton Square. Steak tips are good as is the lobster salad sandwich. During the week they have bar specials between 3-6.

Abby Park has been disappointing the last two times I've been and it's used to be a fav when I was in the area. Have you been recently? Perhaps my two disappointments were a fluke.

I was there this past Saturday for a late lunch. I liked my lobster salad sandwich. The lobster was lightly dressed with mayo and served on a buttered brioche which did not overpower the lobster. Fries were the skinny version which I don't usually care for but these were crisp and very light on the salt. DC went with the tips and was happy. I also like their frito misto flash fried calamari and shrimp. I don't get there often but it's more because of the lack of parking. Friends were there Sunday and said they enjoyed it. I should note that drink prices are higher than the norm for the area. My White Haven Savignon Blanc was $10. Another option for the OP is Cafe deParis on the Quincy/E. Milton line. It's part of the common market group. The bar area has tables, service is good and the food is consistent. Pizza comes from Darcy's, which is one of the best in the Quincy area IMHO. They do a good job with their steaks and I also like the parmesean crusted haddock. Cedar plank salmon also is popular.

      2. Newcomb Farms for casual family-friendly dining, Abby Park or 88 Wharf for slightly more upscale dining, The Ledge (just over the line in Lower Mills/Dorchester) for someplace in between (mid-priced comfort food).

Re the ledge--I heard they just got a new chef and the food is great. I liked it before but am eager to re-try.

          Second Abby Park.

I second 88 Wharf. I hear they have an amazing brunch as well but I only have been for dinner.

          2. The Ledge
            Tavalo

Both up Dot ave but not too far
