L'anne French/Asian - Wheaton Town Square / Naperville

  • 3

Are you local people crazy? I frequently travel to the Chicago western suburbs and am constantly on the lookout for some quality fare. Frankly, it's few and far between. For about a year now I have frequented L'anne's French/Asian Bistro in Danada Town Square - it's consistently excellent, with a gracious hostess (I think L'anne) and an excellent chef demonstrating original, clean and unique cuisine. Good wines. It's never crowded - in fact it’s frequently almost empty. Small, intimate and a good value. Folks, this beats the local Outback or Houlihans for goodness sakes! What is wrong with you'all?

I have no idea what you are trying to say here.....

My wife and I have eaten here lots of time and really like it.

And we don't do Outback or Applebees.

    1. No, the local people in Wheaton I know are not crazy and there's nothing wrong with them. I visit there frequently and will try L'annes,

Chicago Wine Geek is right. Your message is confusing.

      1. We had lunch at L'anne on friday and it was quite nice. We were expecting something different (more asian), given they are self-described french/asian. We shared two dishes: 1/2lb Kôbe beef teriyaki burger (w/jalapeno, Swiss cheese, tempura onion & frites) and Seared yellow fin tuna sandwich (w/avocado, tomatoes, lettuce & wasabi mayo). The bread was fresh, the ingredients cooked perfectly, the sauces complex. We will definitely return for dinner. This really is a very good restaurant and needs to be on anyone's short list for Wheaton.
