Italian Dining near 70 Park Avenue Hotel??? Nearby breakfast spots???

We're staying here for a long weekend. We would appreciate getting some recommendations for a very good Italian restaurant nearby - looking for more than the ordinary Italian menu - entrees in the 30s are fine. Also interested in places to get a reasonable breakfast near the hotel. Thanks!

    For breakfast, not a ton of exemplary and inexpensive sit down breakfast nearby you (Grand Central). There's more options if you leave the immediate neighborhood.

    But there are good places to get a coffee and pastry. Like Joe the Art of Espresso inside Grand Central. Culture Espresso. Maybe 'wichcraft? It's a little pricey though.

    For a sit down breakfast, what's your budget?
