Been in this area a long time. One of my favorite restaurants is Borago. It's on 30A at Grayton Beach.
The food is simple Italian and always good. Good service too. The Red Bar has gotten a bit too big-for-their-britches and is a crowded mess during the season. I avoid it. Also can recommend funky/homey Terrace Restaurant way east at Inlet Beach. Excellent food with in-house owners.

Really enjoyed Stinky's Fish Camp and V. Probably my two favorites we tried on our trip a couple weeks ago.

I know it can get mixed reviews, but we've always enjoyed Gravel Road for lunch. The mister always gets the grouper sandwich and I alternate that with the crab cakes, and that's a couple of dishes they seem to be consistently good with.

We love Gravel Road. The food is interesting and good and not too fussy. I like the fact that you can just order a variety of the sides and have as much or as little food as you want. Have had slow service a few times but when that happens at least the folks are very nice and apologetic about it. That goes a long way with us. Most locals we know frequent the place.
