Yikes. Dinner tonight in or near Smithfield, RI?

Driving up from CT and looking for an early-ish dinner in or near Smithfield, RI. Dining solo and not looking for anything formal/fancy, and not wanting to drive into Providence and dealing with traffic/parking. I love ethnic food, something special that is regional, hole-in-the-wall, offal, etc.

Any quick suggestions?

Oki's Japanese Steak House on Mineral Spring Ave has been there forever and does hibachi fairly well... It's the only place I dine out in Springfield.

You can try The Ice House on Mineral Spring Avenue in North Providence, a few miles south of Smithfield.

There is a decent Vietnamese place, Pho Evergreen, on the south side of Rt 44 where 116 hits it from the north. This is about a mile west of the Apple Valley mall. It's fairly Americanized, as you'd expect from the area, but if you know Vietnamese food you can talk to the owners and see what they can do for you. It's low-key and inexpensive.

Easy! D. Carlo is a great choice for classic Rhode Island Italian Food. Great bar scene and good for single diners. If you want more hole in the wall, Parente's is okay.
