Spokane: Gordy's, Queen of Sheba, or what?
Spending the night in Spokane tomorrow night on the way to Seattle, and we love decent ethnic over marginal farm-to-table blah blah places. Checking the board and wondering whether I'm missing something special. Any good suggestions? Many thanks!

Next time you come through, or for other people passing through Spokane, Taaj is an excellent addition to the ethnic food scene here in Spokane. It's fresh Indian cuisine, in a sort of strange area. Definitely worth a visit.

re: Spot
JUST FYI
Taaj has changed hands 3 different times. When it first opened it was very good but under the new ownership the food and service has suffered considerably. If you are interested in good Indian Food while in Spokane I would suggest Taste of India.

re: climberdoc
We greatly enjoyed Queen of Sheba and will try Gordy's the next time. We'd have gone to Gordy's but had suddenly planned on a Szechuan lunch in Tacoma the next day while visiting our son there.
P.S. Less blase than simply tired of places trumpeting their locavorism as a cover for poor execution. Not to mention it's how I cook at my own home.
