Fruit2day: fruit juice with fruit bits...tasty, tasty! Tried it?

Found these in the produce section yesterday at Stop & Shop (they're 3 for $5 this week). I had the pomegranate blueberry and tried a sip of mango peach. Nice to grab when you need a little somethin' to bridge the gap till your next meal. A drink you can chew--who knew?!

  1. How big are the bits? I initially thought I might choke on them, but maybe that's just silly.

Actually, it is silly, since I drink coconut water with coconut bits in it, no choking.

They're fairly small. Smaller than what you get in canned fruit cocktail.
I tried pomengranate blueberry and it wasn't bad. But it's not as good as juices like Bolthouse Farms or Odwalla.

    2. They've had it in the US for about 2 years. I first had it in Europe a few months before that. They're not bad.

      1. Yeah, not bad at all. We buy them when they are on special.

        1. I've had them and really dislike them - the fruit is a little mushy (like it's overripe), and they have a bitter, artificial aftertaste. They're definitely convenient, but it's probably better to just grab a piece of fruit.

            Do they have added sweeteners?

Whole fruit, what a novel concept! :)

No, but they use apple/pear/grape juice as a base for nearly all the drinks, so it's more of a juice box marketed towards adults than a pure juice product. Like I said, it's not bad. And the first time I tried it I was at a rest stop somewhere in central Europe where there weren't a lot of fresh fruit choices. I got a large coffee and one of these for the road.

          2. I really dislike them as well. I think it's more of a texture issue for me rather than taste.
