Wedding venue for 100-140 people
we are looking for a wedding venue that holds about 120 people. We'd like to be under $175 per person but we'd consider up to $200. Most of the guests are in their late 20's. Any suggestion are appreciated!

My wife and I were married at The Housing Works Bookstore Cafe in June. We had 120 people, and easily fit within your budget, including extras (flowers, band, etc.). It was fabulous! I am happy to report that it was one of those weddings where the guests were talking about it for weeks afterwards. I'd be happy to provide details if you'd like (including the name of my band -- they were incredible!). Amanda or Matt from Housing Works can give you my contact info. (Tell them we were the June 11 wedding.)

Does $175-200/head include beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic,) tax, gratitude? Are you looking to do a sit-down dinner, buffet, cocktail party with passed hors d'oeuvres, or combination of two? Do you need room for dance or a band? Any cuisine or dietary preferences? More details would be helpful - there are lots of factors at play!

I just got married this past September, so did this whole process. I'd recommend the Yale Club - they have a few rooms that are completely different from each other, and with 120 people, you would fit into the rooftop dining room. The menu sounds great and is surprisingly reasonably priced considering the quantity and quality (from reading about it) of the food. As for me, we did the Liberty Warehouse in Brooklyn, and guests are still raving about the food.
