  1. El Rinconcito Ecuatoriano on Hawthorne near El Segundo Blvd.

    1. El Caserio in Echo Park is consistently great. If you are with a group of people, the chuchucara (spelling?) is fantastic as is the aji.

      El Caserio Restaurant
      (323) 664-9266
      309 N Virgil Ave
      Los Angeles, CA 90004

      1. Nice to hear someone out there enjoys ecuadorian food.
When ever I can, I go over to Dos Burritos
        4734 Hollywood Blvd
        Los Angeles, CA 90027
I have enjoyed the food every time I go.

Does any one remeber the ecuadorian restaurant
on Vermont back in the 80's. I can't remember the name.
I was wondering if the owners re located else where.

i love dos burritos because i feel like i'm guayaquil when i go there. that said, it's a dive - a very friendly one with greasy good food. if you're looking for a nice restaurant with tablecloths go to el caserio and make sure you have the humita.

my boyfriend thinks they should change the name of dos burritos to dos burritos y una llama. do not be led astray by the mexican menu if you go.

        2. There is an Ecuadorian restaurant on Beverly Blvd east of Atlantic in Montebello (north side of street) - they have a wonderful pork riblet dish served with fried hominy that tastes like fried popcorn - really different and delicious.

I second El Caserio which has divine seafood soup and a couple of other addictive seafood dishes - nice people and now the parking lot has floodlights, its OK to stop at dinner time even although the neighborhood is a bit dicey. This restaurant is closed Wednesdays.
