Early opening for breakfast - Georgetown and near the White House
I will be in DC for a few days with a jet lagged 12 month old. I am keen to find some nice places that open for breakfast early - as he will have been up for hours even at 6am...
Ideally they would be able to fit a stroller in.
We have been to DC a few times before and we are from London so are realistic about attitudes to children in small city places.
Any thoughts really appreciated.

Another one not far that I would consider is Founding Farmers. I know they have breakfast - I'm not positive when exactly they open. I don't have kids, but others have said it is kid-friendly and seems to me like it would be.

Your best bet is likely to find a hotel restaurant that serves breakfast at that hour. I checked out OpenTable to see what is open. Blue Duck Tavern, which is near Georgetown (more in the West End area though) is open at that hour. Cafe Dupont, again in another hotel, has a really good breakfast that starts at 6:30am. I've seen kids in strollers there before. That is in Dupont Circle, one area over from Georgetown.
In Georgetown itself it looks like the Daily Grill starts serving breakfast at 6:30am.
