Is The Best Thing I Ever Made the Ultimate Next Iron Chef Spoiler?

I just watched the premier of this show. I was halfway paying attention but I am certain when it introduced Beau MacMillian it called him "Winner of The Next Iron Chef." Anyone else see this or was I paying less attention than I thought?

"Food Network Star and Iron Chef Beau MacMillan to Cook at The Cliff at Cap Restaurant!!!"
However in this context (Mar 2011), it should understood as 'Iron Chef challenger/winner'

        1. I heard it as "Iron Chef winner" meaning he had beated an Iron Chef in a competition.

From Wiki: Seidel visited MacMillan at elements and invited him to take a turn on "Iron Chef America," where he beat Bobby Flay in Battle American Kobe Beef.[

I think you're right. I'm pretty sure it would have said "The NEXT Iron Chef Winner" if that were
the case. From what I remember, when he was on "Chopped All Stars", he was also introduced
as a winner on Iron Chef. I guess that's what he's known for?

          2. Thanks everyone. I couldn't imagine they would have screwed up that badly, but then again, it is FN....

            1. Watching it now. It described him as "Iron Chef America Winner" which means he won at the regular Food Network Iron Chef America show. I think he beat Bobby Flay.

I'm rooting for Anne Burrell! Hope she wipes the floor with all of the other challengers for Next Iron Chef!

I actually think Beau MacMillan would make the best Iron Chef out of all of the season 4 all-stars. Good food, good TV presence, has proven he can perform in the format, and doesn't get rattled under pressure.

                  1. re: Bunson

Everything you said about Beau could also apply to Anne B, IMO. She's got the most actual IC experience as well being Mario's sous, plus I'm sure FN wants a female chef to replace Cat.

                2. Whew... thanks for clearing that up! I do like watching the show, and would have been bummed to know the result. I'm another one rooting for Anne Burrell, but that may change as the competition goes on.
