Best Mexican restaurants in Cincinnati . . .

Here is an article I wrote recently covering (in my opinion, of course), the three top mexican restaurants in Cincinnati (one traditional, one contemporary and one authentic) . . .

Let me know if there is anything I am missing and should try!

  1. I don't know how it compares, but you might try La Mexicana on Monmouth St. in Newport. It's the most authentic taqueria I know of in the area: menudo, barbacoa, carnitas, goat, lengua, and even huitlachoche.

I have heard of this La Mexicana and would like to try it but haven't had the chance yet. It sounds very authentic as well!

    2. Taqueria Maya at Kings Auto Mall (supposedly related to Taqueria Mercado) is fantastic and cheap.

      Taqueria Mercado
6507 Dixie Hwy, Fairfield, OH 45014

Ooooh, I have not been there and Kings Auto Mall is very closeby. I will have to check it out. Let me know if there is anything you recommend ordering! Thanks!

      2. Couldn't agree more on Rincon Mexicano. It's my favorite Mexican place in the region, and the fact it's so close to my home is a plus. Where are you located, Lisa?

We used to live near Rincon (in Union Township off Roundbottom) but now it is a bit of a drive as we are in the Montgomery area.

        2. Both Mercado and Maya are excellent (and according to the people at Maya, they are related). I would HIGHLY encourage you to check out Dinastia Latina on Reading Rd. in Sharonville. One of my fave Mexican restaurants. Great food. The owner goes out of her way to make you feel like family.
