Deli Proscuitto: can it be frozen? how long does it keep?

I picked up some pre-sliced Boar's Head proscuitto yesterday afternoon in the deli. Can I put it in the freezer? Alternatively, how long will it keep? I am assuming longer than regular sandwich meat, but maybe not.

It will keep a while, but I haven't ever tested exactly how long, as I usually put any leftover into the freezer and use it in braises, ragus, for meatballs, beans; it's very easy to chop or mince when frozen.
