Pasadena area - lunch date

Looking for recommendations for a late (2pm) lunch date place in the Pasadena area. We will probably have a drink or two, most likely wine, and a couple apps, salads, small plates. Atmosphere over food, but definitely like good food too. Somewhere where we can sit outside and enjoy this weather would also be nice.

Thanks.

Noir Wine and Food's menu sounds like it fits what you're looking for. They have an outdoor patio as well. http://www.noirfoodandwine.com/

There's also La Grande Orange which has a good vibe. Great sangria and ambiance.

It's super casual, but I think Tender Greens (on Colorado) would be a great date spot. It's a walk-up and order, go through the line, pick up your tray at the end when you pay - but the food is delicious and they have wine and a lovely outdoor seating area. It's off Colorado, so there is street/road noise. It's not small plates, so if that is an absolute requirement, it's not the spot.

If you wanted something a little more refined - I'd head to Julienne's for lunch (in San Marino). Also not small plates, but delicious salads/sandwiches. Their lamb sandwich is my favorite! http://www.juliennetogo.com/restauran...

I second Julienne's -- every time I go there, I say to myself, "now, how come I don't come here more often?" I think it just feels out of the way but it really doesn't take long to get there. It's beautiful inside (especially the "library") or outside on the little patio. If you're a local or with a local you'll probably run into a friend there -- I do every time I go. Save room for dessert, it's really worth it.
