Cheese Board and Nice Wine in Downtown TO
I'm looking for a place to go on a Sunday, get an amazing cheese plate/board, be romantic, and drink a couple glasses of wine. Looking for atmosphere and jazz would be a plus - suggestions?

for romance, drinks, atmospher and jazz I like The Reservoir Lounge. Their food is good but I checked, no cheese plate. You may be able to call and set something up though. Never hurts to ask.

Enoteca Sociale has a cheese cave and a really interesting wine list. I find it pretty romantic there, but its more of a bustling restaurant then a 'lounge' type place, and no live music.
I have heard good things about Cafe Taste in Parkdale but have never been there myself.

Sadly, this is the last weekend in operation for Cafe Taste! Get there while you still can!

Caren's Wine Bar would fit the bill, except for the lack of jazz.

Second Caren's. I find it rather cozy.

Elle M'a Dit on Baldwin serves a reasonably priced (3 cheeses, bread, some fruit, nuts, etc. for $15 ), decent cheese board.
Open from 5:30pm -11 pm on Sundays.

I quite like the menu and the food at Elle Ma Dit but the atmosphere is closer to cafeteria than romantic. I second Enoteca Sociale for the cheese and wine and I think the atmosphere, while lively, is still romantic IMO even without a jazz soundtrack.

I completely agree that Elle M'a Dit is not romantic. I didn't say anything about Elle M'A Dit being romantic. I was recommending Elle M'a Dit because of its moderately priced cheese board, not because of any romantic element to its atmosphere. Some people might find its wooden tables on the patio, in warmer weather, somewhat romantic, or at least atmospheric.
I didn't find Enoteca Sociale to be romantic.
YMMV.

I like the vibe on Baldwin on warm summer evenings so you're right that it's a good combo ... nice cheese board and romantic patio. Enoteca is probably the same in some ways. Very romantic to be outside on a patio on a summer evening ... less so inside on a busy winter night.
Always YMMV but I like the way you think :)

Sorry themiguel I didn;t enjoy myself at Mavrick Wine Bar maybe they had an off night.
An interesting spot is Corks in the Longos next to Air Canada Centre.
They make a nice cheese board from Longos and the prices are decent. If you get a chance ask them to get you some merlot bellavitano cheese from the store it is very good. They only have Canadian Wines as far as I know though so that might be a shop stopper for some.

Sitting by by the fire at the rooftop lounge Park Hyatt ... very romantic ... and I'm sure they would put together a cheese board ... they have one on the menu in their fine dining room ...
Edit note ... just realized this is an older thread but I'll let my "vote" stand
