The tickets are for admission. The participating restaurants are doing riffs on boudin so expect rice and sausage casings with some interesting variations at the buffet styles tables. With food allergies being a hot topic in restaurants we're wondering yesterday if someone will come in asking for boudin, hold the rice.

What a great time. We didn't want it to end. It was good seeing all the Chef's in one place. i had heard good things about Chef Mario but still couldn't believe how friendly and patient he was posing for pictures with guests.
The food was good. I concentrated on the boudin noirs and liked Rio Mars version. The special Abitas were very good, both the oyster stout and bourbon barrel got repeat visits. With all the competition even Rouses smoked boudin was excellent. Only Susan Spicers seafood boudin ran out (besides the cigars)
And the music was lagniappe. Everything was very well done

Lil' - YES, Yes, yeah...this is going to be quite the event, tickets are limited. I think there are less than 100 left. What up is that on Saturday is Carnivale du Vin, which is the $1,000 at ticket dinner and wine auction fundraiser for ELF, www.carnivaleduvin.com/2011, which brings in Mario Batali, Dean Fearing, Jacques Torres for it. Extremely successful event but not everybody can afford to go. And what to do the night before for those who come in for Carnivale??? Voila! Boudin & Beer. Very much the "A" list. My only ? is flats or heels, the Foundry is concrete.....
