Great Dog by Dinah Koo (fusia)

foodiefiend Oct 13, 2011 10:12 AM

Just stopped in at Fusia Dog for lunch. I had the Fusia Dog - kimchi, daikon/carrot slaw, wasabi mayo, all beef hot dog wrapped in paratha. My SO had a Boston Dog with baked beans. Very friendly service, the home made potato chips were perfect. They were also giving out free samples of the two salads that they also offer. But back to the dog... really really enjoyed it. A bit messy but manageable. The daikon/carrot slaw was nice a crisp bite. Kimchi could have been a bit spicier. Definitely going to go back while the weather is nice. Looking forward to making my way through the menu.

I completely forgot about this place until I walked by recently and noticed they were empty at lunchtime. Anyone have an favourites?

I work nearby so I will be checking out the other items one of these days. But I had that dog when they had a catering truck at Word on the Street last year and it didn't work for me, even though I love all the elements and have no problem with fusion. When it comes to hot dogs I seem to be happiest with simple street meat :)

Simple or fancy, it's hard to beat Marianne's Snack Shack in front of Mt Sinai Hospital.

I had the fusia dog at the T&T night market and was kind of disappointed too. It was oddly ... bland?

I had to Google this one. Glad to know Dinah is back.

I really wish she brought back Tiger Lily.
