Dehyradtors, Stainless Steel Trays

So I really want to get a dehydrator but there's one problem. I'm funny about heating plastic and all of the dehydrators I'm looking at have plastic trays.

Are there any reasonably price home dehydrators that use stainless steel trays instead? Or any other alternatives to dehydrating?

Although plastic, it seems like people are happy with these:

Yep, go to Amazon and type in stainless dehydrator. They have a few different models.

Wow... I was hoping for more reasonably priced than that. I've found a bunch for 300+ but was hoping to say in the 100$ range.

Is this just what you pay for a decent dehydrator?

Not meant in a snarky way at all, but yes, you can get a decent dehydrator for $100, but it's going to be plastic. If you're handy, you can build your own for far less and it won't be plastic. A stainless dehydrator is not going to be in demand as much as a 'normal' plastic one. . . so the price will be higher (I imagine the materials cost more as well).
