Breakfast in NW

We are headed to DC for the weekend. We have dinner covered but would appreciate some breakfast suggestions, We are staying in Georgetown and would rather not have to drive more than 15 minutes but would consider for a top meal. Some place with good coffee and food not necessarily looking for fancy.Creative and wholesome options(pumpkin pancakes) are always a bonus.

This just screams Leopold's to me: http://kafeleopolds.com/

Other options to consider would be Bonaparte or Patisserie Poupon.

        I love Bonaparte's for breakfast.

Other options in Dupont Circle (close to Georgetown) are Cafe Dupont (I like their corned beef hash), Darlington House, Teaism, and Kramerbooks and Afterwards.

I second Bonaparte's. I also recommend Bodega for their omelettes.

Had a fabulous breakfast at Leopold's....thank you. We were visiting our daughter. She had moved back from Europe about 5 months ago. The food, service and atmosphere were a nice complement to her new life and what she was missing from Europe.
