Not a whole lot of info to go by:
Very private or more of a celebration ? ;
Type/Style of establishment - Cutting edge or more traditional ? ;
Cuisines to avoid ? ; ect., ect., ect. ; However:Pastina - Italian - WLA - Upscale for business but not stuffy high-end-ish $$$$.
Doable within your price limitations off their regular menu or the 4 course Prix Fixe for $24.95:

re: JBC
I like Pastina, but its a bit sedate even for a business dinner. Also think you can do better than Hustons or Gulfstream. Agree with JBC that more info would be helpful. That said, Il Moro would be a good choice. Food is outstanding, not too loud and should be in budget.

re: BSW6490
last time i went to il moro it was just for dessert and cappuccino.
the tab including tip and tax was around $20/pp.il moro could well end up costing more than $50/pp for food if folks order 3 courses each and cappuccinos.
don't know how flexible shel517 can be in terms of budget.

Fig in Santa Monica might be a good choice. I love Rustic Canyon and it's great food but it can get loud in there and might not work for a business meeting unless you go early.

Houstons fits the bill.
they offer free corkage if you bring your own wine.
price is right.
quality is more than adequate for most business dinners.i normally go to the one in Manhattan Beach, i'm just assuming that the one in Century City has ambiance that is at least as good as the Manhattan Beach location.

re: westsidegal
After 20 years Houston's Century City location has closed as of October 7, They did not renew their lease.

re: wienermobile
is their other restaurant, GULFSTREAM, still open?
i'd imagine that the margins at Gulfstream are higher than those at Houston's.
unfortunately for shel517, when last i went to Gulfstream, the bill, before wine, came out to be greater than $50/pp.
maybe if shel517 can bring his own wine to Gulfstream, the total bill will work out to be within his budget?-----
