Restaurant/Bar Help

Hello all,

I am hoping for some advice about locations for a work- related gathering.

The ideal requirements are (in order of importance):
- In the greater Seattle area, with a Seattle feel and casual ambiance
- Space for 30 people (ideally with a room we could reserve, but if not would need enough space for us).
- Good, reasonably priced food
- Easy parking
- Family friendly

Places we've gone to in the past include Eastlake Bar and Grill, Ivar's, Bal Mar, Dad Watson's, Pyramid Brewing, Elysian Brewing. Attendents have had various issues with each one of these places, so I wanted to reach out to the greater Seattle community to see if there are any other recommendations.

An ideal place for us would be a place like Brave Horse Tavern, except family friendly.

Thank you very much!

  1. Try the back room at Steelhead. I don't think it will hold more than 30 though.

steelhead would be be perfect (the back room is adequate) save for the easy parking requirement. perhaps palisade, with its private room, stunning view and large parking lot might do.

    2. Hale's Ales brewery/cafe in Ballard/Fremont is worth a look.

Thanks for the recommendations! I had thought about Steelhead, but I think parking is a major issue. We have Hale's on our list to try and I'm looking into Palisade.

      2. Jerseytomato,

Can you say what the event is FOR? Do you have a pricepoint? Is it a meal, or aptz, and do you have a meeting in addition to just getting together (is it a work thing, or club?)?.

I was an event planner for years, and know lot's of the rooms around town you can reserve, but under what surcumstances, etc. depends on your needs... a little more info and I am sure I can give a number of suggestions.
Also, is this paid for by one person/company, or do the guests pitch in to pay the bill?
