Sweet Tart Frozen Yogurt, Newton Center
A few co-workers and I just came back from here, a nice little fro-yo break in our day.
Standard weigh-and-pay ($0.45/oz) frozen yogurt place, with a cheerful interior. The quality of the yogurt seemed excellent - milky, creamy and good. It almost tasted like the Sophia's they use at YoBro in Brookline, but it didn't seem as rich. This is a good thing.
Flavors I sampled:
-Red Velvet: Rich and chocolate-y, very accurate Red Velvet flavor. No sign of any artificial/chemical-y taste.
-Peach mango tart: A standout! Creamy, zingy, bright flavorful peach taste, with a shade of mango.
-Plain Tart: I wish this had more tart yogurt taste. (See Mixx for my ideal plain tart)
-Watermelon sorbet: The consistency was a tad too watery, but otherwise it had a decent, cartoon-y fake watermelon flavor (which is not a bad thing).
-White chocolate mousse: My least favorite, although I'm not much of a white chocolate fan in general.
This place stands out with its immense selection of candies for toppings. It is basically like a candy store, with the standard array of bulk goodies (there are even plastic bags to purchase candy in bulk) and some interesting other ones: strawberry creme malted milk balls and spearmint gummies were two things I'd never seen before.
Standard fresh-fruit bar, as well as diced candy bars and crumbled up chocolate chip cookies. 5-6 unlabeled Ghirardelli sauce squirtbottles in varying shades of brown. A variety of chopped nuts.
Overall, I'm very happy to have this so close to my home and work!

Thanks for posting! I went there per your recommendation, and am obsessed! Two visits in one week... I thought that the vanilla and the plain flavors were delicious. The array of candy is fantastic. Only complaint is that it was SO crowded with tons of kids, so much so that my 5 you was reluctant to return :)

I gave this place a try the other night, and I thought it was good. They had pumpkin frozen yogurt, which I liked, as well as mint-cookie flavor. I also tried chocolate/vanilla twist, which was fine....didn't get to try the plain tart.
Like Prav says, the fruit bar was standard, but there are lots of candies. I tried the strawberry cream malted milk balls, and they were good. Also tried the mint malted milk balls, which reminded me of a mint oreo.
I think someone posted the other day that they are looking for black licorice - and this place had black licorice strings as one of their candies.
Overall, nice addition to Newton Ctr.

Went there on Sunday after taking a walk on that beautiful day and really enjoyed my treat. Tried the peanut butter and red velvet, and didn't like either. Ended up with Chocolate/Vanilla twist.
One problem I forsee, though, is when I saw a little kid (4 or 5?) reach his hand into one of the candy bins. He put the candy back, but by then it's too late.
