Boone, NC this weekend
My wife and I will be in Boone, NC for the weekend, I lived there in the early 1990's but sure everything has changed outside the Boone Bagelry. Can anyone give any recs on a nice Anniversary dinner (was thinking Louisiana Purchasein banner Elk) or any must eat lunch spots?

In alphabetical order for dinner: Artisanal (Banner Elk), The Eseeola Lodge (Linville), Rowlands at Westglow Spa (Blowing Rock). You will definitely need reservations for any of these (and I would probably make the reservation sooner rather than later).
If Vidalia (Boone) still does lunch it is a decent lunch spot. Bistro Roca, Village Cafe (both Blowing Rock) are both fine for lunch.

did Vidalia for our anniversary dinner and it was excellent also ate at Boone Bagelry for 1 breakfast (OK better when I was a college kid), Melanies for another breakfast and that was yummy, also had dinner at Coyote Kitchen which was also very ggod. Had lunch on Sat at the Woolly Worm Festival in Banner Elk.
