Deliciousness Close to Washington Square Hotel

I am trying to help my mother make plans for dinner on her upcoming yearly NYC trip.
She will be staying at the Washington Square Hotel in the Village, she is planning on meeting friends for a drink at her hotel then walking to the restaurant. A couple of considerations: She wants a place that takes reservations, one friend does not like French food, otherwise Italian, Spanish, etc all good. They generally eat at Babbo and like it quite a bit, Im hoping for something in that price range so that I can treat the group to a nice dinner, maybe give the maitre'd my cc info in advance? Anyways these ladies are in their 70's and like lively but not exceedingly noisy (however on a Saturday in Manhattan considerable noise is to be accepted/part of the charm).
Based on my Chowhound research my ideas thus far are:
Blue Hill, Scarpetta or Perilla.
Id love any advice, also particular dishes that you love?
Thanks so much

Perilla is not nearly as upscale as the other two.

I loved Blue Hill at Stone Barns but have heard the Manhattan one isn't as good; however, a close friend recommends it for drinks, so it might be better to get cocktails there than at the hotel. The cocktails I had at their Stone Barns location were excellent.

Scarpetta is a very good choice but note that it's a bit of a walk from the hotel. Google Maps is telling me it's about 15 minutes or 0.7 miles.

Another option would be to consider Annisa.

When I lived in the city I frequented Blue Hill in Manhattan and went to BH@SB a couple of times. While the BH@SB experience is more formal and elegant, I found the food at the two locations to be comparable.

Of the three you listed, BH is my personal favorite, with Scarpetta being second. If they are already going to Babbo one night, then BH is the natural choice.
