  1. Well, no one responded so I'm going to the Prince and the Pauper in Woodstock. Hope it's good.

We've eaten at the bar at the Price and Pauper two times inthe last 3 weeks and the food, service, and ambiance(of the bartender) were outstanding.
We think this is one of the very best reataurants in Woodstock or in the area for that matter.
Prices were reasonable, food was outstanding, and the service was great!

    2. The restaurant at The Hermitage Inn in W Dover was excellent in June.

How was it? I'm headed there tonight.

      2. We went to the Prince and the Pauper in August. We just happened by there and could only get bar seats but that was a great choice. Got to chat with the barkeep and enjoyed an excellent meal. Well worth the visit!

We were there this past Sunday night and really enjoyed it.

CindyJ, which restaurant are you talking about? The Prince & The Pauper or The Hermitage? On 10/16/11 you posted you were going to the Hermitage.

I made a mistake when I posted on 10/16, and didn't realize until it was too late to change it. I had intended to reply to coldbeer, but replied to trufflehound by mistake. The restaurant I was referring to was The Prince and the Pauper in Woodstock, which we visited and thoroughly enjoyed on 10/16.

        2. Minor point of pedantry: Woodstock isn't really Southern Vermont. For a destination restaurant in Southern Vermont, try SoLo Farm and Table in South Londonderry or the Inn at West View Farm in Dorset.

          Thenk yew.

Thanks...but having not been provided with a Southern option, we ventured further north. Had I seen your post prior, I would have saved some gas! But thanks any ole ways.
