This is an old style gin mill, reportedly the originator of the pizza burger.
The pizza burger is bathed in a delicious tomato sauce and toped with a copius amount of cheese.
All of their burgers are cooked as ordered and served on crusty kaiser rolls.
Friendly patrons and terrific food!

  1. i used to work in Raritan Center and frequented the Liberty You are spot on about the burgers. They also had a meatloaf special on a roll with gravy. Pizza wasn't bad either. Friendly accomodating service both at the bar and tables.

I have a half of a sausage pie in my fridge, thin and crispy crust, just the right amount of basil and garlic. YUM!
I like to heat it in a cast iron pan, a perfect home pizza oven.

    2. I've been to the Liberty on and off since the mid-70's. Never had the burger. My fave is the sausage parmesan sandwich. Tell them to serve the roll on the side, because you'll never finish it. The tomato and cheese are top notch, as is the sausage. Its served with fries.
