Restaurant recommendations near Oyster Point??

A former SF Chowhound is returning for five days in late October and staying at a hotel near work in Oyster Point. Can you help me with any solid food recommendations for a solo diner? I love all food, but want to stay away from deep fried, chain restaurant food. No price point.

Any and all help is much appreciated.

I have to say, I had a surprisingly fine meal at the South Harbor Waterfront Restaurant & Bar. http://www.southharborrestaurant.com/

There's not a lot of atmosphere, but if you get there early enough, you have quite nice bay views. Prices are reasonable and food is quite good, though not terribly inspired. I was pleasantly surprised when we had to find "simple" in-laws a decent meal in the area. We did go on a Friday night, and there was horribly cheesy music by a guy with just an electronic keyboard, and a beyond drunk boatman just behind us. But, really, every one of us enjoyed our food. I had eaten a large lunch, so I split the calamari (generous portion), and had the fish tacos (2 large, enough for a meal, really).

Used to like Buon Gusto, but haven't been in awhile. Bertolucci's is great too.

Perfect. I predict some fine Italian food in my immediate future. Thank you for the recommendation.

Check out the Basque Cultural Center and Sondini's Bertolucci's.

Yes, Bertolucci's! Drove by it for years but never tried the food. Basque looks great too. Anyplace that has veal, duck and lamb on the menu sounds great to me. Thanks for the suggestions!
