Need recommendation for Cheap Wedding dinner
We're looking for a restaurant to hold our wedding dinner/reception. It could be downtown montreal or in the West-Island.
We're looking for something like 35$ per person. We're looking for a place to accommodate 150. Does anything decent even exist at that price range?
Thank you all for your help!

I hosted a birthday party a few months ago for a friend at Romagna cafe in old montreal (downtown), it was a buffet, I reckon the price was around 20 bucks per people. As you can guess it's a "cafe" but it's really big and I'm sure 150 people easily fit in there. Anyhow, it was one of the best buffet I've ever had, everyone was happy and it was cheap, we couldn't ask for more! Here's the address and phone number: 60 St-Jacques, 514-844-1528

I did some research for someone I know with a similar question. I'm not sure about restaurants, but you might want to try the suggestions below (taken from my email to her. Sorry if some of it doesn't apply to you):
Basically, these are mostly City of Montreal (or affiliated organisations) sites.
This link is to Parc Jean Drapeau reception rentals. I am unsure of how much the spaces cost so they may be pricey, but it is worth a look:
http://www.parcjeandrapeau.com/rentals-Site.htmlThis link is to the City's list of nature parks that offer rentals. It also lists prices for those rentals, which, for a large room, is under $800 and includes parking. Perhaps of special interest is the Centre de plein air Cap-nature which has room for 100 people, an equipped kitchen and a private beach:

http://www11.ville.montreal.qc.ca/sherlock2/servlet/template/sherlock%2CAfficherDocumentInternet.vm/nodocument/111This is a link to all parks in the City (big and small) divided by borough. It would take a bit of digging to find out what facilities they each have:
http://www11.ville.montreal.qc.ca/sherlock2/servlet/template/sherlock%2CAfficherDocumentInternet.vm/nodocument/20157I looked at the ecomuseum. No alcohol is allowed on the premises, the rooms seem small and there does not seem to be adequate kitchen facilties, so I'm guessing that's out . . . let me know if you want the link anyway.
The following is a list to the Hospitality Concordia website:

Concordia actually has some gorgeous spaces, including rooftop terrasses, for very inexpensive prices. I think they have affiliated caterers. You also might want to look at spaces at McGIll.
Otherwise, like Snowpea suggests, check out hotels, which may be able to provide catering as part of a package deal.
Good luck and congratulations.
