Is there any place to buy Chinese liquor in Portland? I am looking for Beijing's sorghum liquor, Er Guo Tou. I have found it in liquor stores in NY and SF, but no luck here.

Thanks.

Have you tried asking in any of the Asian stores/restaurants near SE 82nd Ave if any of the local state liquor stores carry it? If the state liquor stores don't carry it, they might be able to special order it for you.

It is not on the OLCC list, but yes, things can be special ordered. And if Uwajimaya and FuBonn don't carry it, don't know where you'd find it here... Probably be best to go to your fave liquor store and ask if they can order it for you.

Thanks. I emailed the distributor (in NY), but will take the bottle to my local liquor store and see if they'll order it.

Er Gautou is a type of Baijou, correct? I do know that there is a single Baijou available now in Oregon, but I cannot for the life of me remember the name. They had to call it Sorghum Vodka because the FDA does not recognize Baijou as a category(much like Cachaca).

Sorghum Vodka---that's a good lead. Thanks.
