Sushi Samba is still great

Went this past weekend for the first time in about 9 months. Arrived at 8PM without a reservation and were seated 20 min. later at the sushi bar which was fine. Staff was great and couldn't be more attentive even though it was packed. Appetizers were the Ceviche tasting, and the Tuna Tataki. Both had a amazing flavors that popped. Main courses were the Rockfish a la Plancha and the Crab 3 ways. Both were so so good as I usually order just sushi there. I will not wait so long to return again. This was the Park Ave. location.

    They have the most unreal Peruvian Corn in town - plus, I could drink the sauce that it comes in w/ a damn straw. Delicious.

      I am trying to decide which location is better for 3 girls going on a Friday night for some drinks and some food.
      Any suggestions?

        Hmmm, as far as dining-in goes, I couldn't tell you. The last time I dined at SS was in '06 - I typically just order-in mass quantities of the Peruvian Corn via Seamless Web. :) I'm sorry.

          I have always dined in SS and never ordered out from there. I went with 2 girlfriends and loved being at the Park Ave. South location. I have been to the other, but it is just too large. Also, there are so many other bars to go to before or after SS right in that area.
