Fort Lauderdale - One Night - Where to eat?

Coming to Fort Lauderdale with my wife for one night in two weeks. We are staying at the W Fort Lauderdale. Can anyone recommend a good place for dinner? We are from NYC and foodies, hope that helps.

The restaurant in your hotel is supposed to be very good. I also really like Market 17 and it's not too far away. I agree with Casablanca - the atmosphere is really great, but the food is just so-so.

The restaurant at the W, Steak 954, is not really great. Market 17 is a better choice.

I would also suggest casablanca cafe- you can sit outside facing the beach! Beautiful spot and the food is always good!

I'm afraid I have to disagree with that suggestion for this audience. New Yorkers have a higher expectation and I doubt that Casabloanca could satify it - it didn't for me!

I agree with Dolce. Food is mediocre, at best.

Market 17 is nearby and would be up to your standards. Very innovative and creative cusine (american), nicely presented and the ambiance is also comfortable and stylish.
