Looking for restaraunts to visit in L.A. for last week in October
Hi! I'll be visiting friends in L.A. the last week in October. I'm looking for a list of new restaurants locals recommend. We'll be in town Oct 27 - Nov 2. Friday and Saturday nights may be a group of 6 or more--if that makes a difference. Last trip we hit Animal, Comme Ca, Gjelina, Church and State--loved them all...wanting good food + great atmosphere--please let me know!
Thanks,
Soraya

No to Spice Table? Any reasons why? I've been around 8 times or so and have enjoyed every visit. One of the few things we have in LA that other cities don't. They do a stellar job there with pretty much everything.
I'd say LQ@ SK (Sun-Tues at Starry Kitchen) and Spice Table and Pizzeria Mozza should make for a pretty stellar trip. Foolproof almost and a great way to highlight the diversity and quality in LA dining.
Look here for Spice Table Recs and beautiful photos courtesty of Perceptor:

Reservation dates for LQ@SK. Reserve NOW. No corkage for BYOB. Go to KL Wines on Vine. Super creative and refined cuisine in a casual fun setting...

Mezze at the former Sona space. Ate there recently and was very impressed.
Hatfields if you want to do something a bit more formal.
