Are there any great restaurants in Staten Island?

Hope my fellow hounds can help. A dear friend of mine who has limited mobility is about to undergo major surgery. Before that, he would like to have one amazing meal at a restaurant. He lives on Staten Island and it will be too much to go in and out of Manhattan, so he would prefer somewhere local.
The last special meal he had was at Angelina's which was a mixed bag, and expensive for the quality food that was served. (He said you are pretty much paying for the view.)
Can anyone recommend a great restaurant that perhaps serves steak, lobster or just awesome dishes? Price is not the object, but quality is.
Thanks in advance.

I had a very nice lunch once at Trattoria Romana on Hylan Blvd...pasta was cooked perfectly and I remember they had a nice wine list. Worth a look!

Lakruwana in Stapleton for Sri Lankan, The Polish Place in Tompkinsville for Polish home cooking, Enoteca Maria in St. George for upscale Italian home cooking and good wine, and likely some great Mexican and Liberian fare (since there are large communities on SI), though I haven't had a chance to explore those options yet. Oh, and then there's the pizza -- search on the OB boards for "pizza Staten Island" and you'll get a list of the must-trys.
