Korean Grille--Quincy Center

SeaSide Tomato Oct 8, 2011 03:58 PM

It is open now--at 1429 Hancock Str. right by Angelina's.

Sadlly, I am not familiar with Korean food (but happily, I will become so), but the menu looks great--wide variety of interestng things. I'm lookngg forward to trying Jimm Mu Chimm itens like Baby Octopus stewed in soybean sprouts in spicy sauce and Goo Bo Sam--oysters and pork belly with spicy radish served with cabbage for wrapping. However, I think I'll have to find out more about what these "Sea Rats" are before I venture there.

They have a little sushi bar, too.

I ran in during errands to grab a menu. Congratulated them, wished them luck and a very nice lady was quite welcoming. I asked if they have beer and wine--she said not yet. So we"ll see, I can live without it for a meal, if I must! :)

Great news. I love Korean food. Especially the Bi Bim Bap with the raw steak and quail's egg. I'll have to give it a try. Did you notice if they offer Korean BBQ? (did the tables have inserts in them for the grills?)

Thanks for the tip. Tried the Chicken Wings Korean Style which they said were bon chon wings but they were not crispy and nothing like the bon chon wings formerly available at Privus in Allston. Kalbi was average at best.
