Falls Church Area Recs?

So a colleague and I have started something of a regular event of going out for lunch every few weeks. We love to eat, we love trying new food, we love trying food from different regions, ethnicities, and styles of cooking, but at the same time there's never anything wrong with some good comfort food or contemporary american or even pub fare. The only criteria for suggestions is that they be in/somewhere around the Falls Church area, (that includes close parts of vienna, tysons corner, etc), no chains unless they're really that note worthy, that they be affordable (max of $25 per person), and that they be good, preferably, your favorite.

PS- Despite all of our searching, we haven't been able to find any really good mexican places, so while that is by no means the focus of this thread, if anyone knows of any good places or at least a place where we can get a good order of pibil it'd be greatly appreciated.

All the above rec's are good ones. I'd add Dogfish Head Alehouse, Sunfllower Vegetarian and Bamian (for Afghani food.)

Very good recs above, I would add Pizzeria Orso, Pupatella, Carribean Grill isn't too far away. Taqueria Poblano for tacos or District Taco mentioned above. I also like Lost Dog for pizza and frosty root beer. I would like to recommend Mount of Lebanon, but when we went they were super slow.

And tons of places at the Eden Center!!!

I also highly second La Carenquena.

Falls Church area recommendations ... I am sure others have many more ideas. These are just off the top of my head.

        1. Bolivian - Luzmila's
        2. Vietnamese - Huong Viet, Present, Pho 88
        3. Laotian - Bankgkok Golden
        4. Persion - Amoo's House of Kabob
        5. Middle Eastern - Mount of Lebanon, Jerusalem
        6. Chinese - Mark's Duck House, XO Taste, Hong Kong Palace
        7. "Latin American" - La Caraquena

Mexican/TexMex is tough in this area. To be honest, we haven't found anything great - when the urge strikes we head to El Tio's.

Falls Church is ground zero for a wide variety of great eating. Do a search on Chowhound for specific items recommended:

          Bangkok Golden, Lao menu.
          Hong Kong Palace, Sichuan
          Nha Trang, Vietnamese
          Myannar, Burmese
          Luzmilla's, Bolivian
          Rose Kabob, Persian
          Fairfax Inn, Filipino
District Taco, Tex-Mex tacos (good for the genre), must ask for corn tortillas

Pibil? Seriously, you will be hard pressed to find any Mexican in this area, much less Yucatecan.

Does Ballston count? If so, I highly recommend Ravi Kabob, especially for the mango lassi, chickpeas and special samosa. I wrote in detail about my experience here: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/329970
