Both Capone Foods and Dave's Fresh Pasta are good, but I don't think either one sells tagliatelle.

Dave's will cut any size you need from angel hair to full lasagne sheets. I like it fine ... the key is to not overcook it. They will advise you how long for tagliatele if you ask. Mmmmmm. Bolognese!

My favorite spot for fresh pasta in Boston is Monica's Mercato on Salem St. in the North End. Really delicious pasta. In fact, everything there is delicious and the service couldn't be any more gracious and enthusiastic.

There is also DePascuale's fresh pasta shop in the North End, but service is iffy depending on who's working. It can be very gruff and unwelcoming.

      Bolognese...yum. Enjoy!

everyone has their fresh pasta loyalty. i am NOT a fan of dave's at all. But for 30 yrs. i have been a loyal customer of Bella Ravioli in Medford. All they sell is pasta and sauce. They will cut whatever way you want. Robert and Michael are 2nd generation, and you will not likely find silky pasta like this elsewhere.
