Simply Fruits Ice Cream

I found myself in Serra Mesa at lunch today, craving something healthy to kick this cold I managed to catch. I saw a sign touting ice cream, fruit salad, smoothies, shaved ice, etc., and turned into the mall at Sandrock and Greyling (anchored by a CVS). This little shop is closer to Greyling, looks newish, and it was spotless inside. Their menu is on a board on the wall, and I saw they had fruit salads, tostilocos, fruit waters, shaved ice, smoothies, malts - alot from which to choose. I ordered the regular size fruit salad, and it was as good as the one I had at Fruitlandia. Freshly cut fruit, cottage cheese, granola, coconut, and raisins with the honey in a container on the side (which I loved, since I usually have to ask them to go light on the honey other places). They had several flavors of ice cream in the front case, and I asked what brand they stocked. Thrifty brand! It's a little, independent, mom-and-pop shop, so if you find yourself in the neighborhood, give them a try.
