Any good Japanese pumpkin (kabocha) dishes this autumn?

We were at the Bottle Room in Whittier on Tuesday night (the burgers are $8 instead of $12 on Tuesdays and they had the Great Divide Rumble on draft, so good stuff all around...) and tried their seasonal Japanese pumpkin flatbread as a starter, which was outstanding. And I still have fond memories of an October dinner in Germany a couple years back with a five-course Japanese pumpkin tasting menu.

So, I'm curious to know if anyone can suggest any other really good seasonal dishes in the greater LA area featuring this tasty autumn orange wonder? Thanks!

Haru Ulala in Little Tokyo has a great kabocha tempura. Not sure if it's worth a trip in itself but I've gotten hooked on their happy hour. $10 pitchers of Kirin draft and a great happy hour menu; 5:30-8:00pm.
