There have been some major downhill reports about Globe since the chef left and was not replaced.

I think Absinthe's are better than Plouf's. You might enjoy the al fresco near union square thing, give plouf a try, but if you want cocktails and a classic bar, head over to Absinthe.
(What I didn't like about Plouf in several visits is the relative tastelessness of the broths; could have been bad days)
