ct bites says everything is good. their "reviews" mean nothing

  1. Agreed. CT Bites seems to be just a PR outlet for selected local restaurants and food retailers. I'd be interested to know how the site is funded and how they choose their reviews. Pretty photos, though.

      i think ctbites just chooses not to post negative. its kind of nice, a food site that doesn't dwell on negativity. but its interesting, as positive as it is, sometimes the commenters wage war directly after the write ups.

        Agreed. CTBites won awards for guiding people to good food in CT without bashing others.

        It is like any other site, Chowhound included, in that you can trust the opinions of some and question others.

      1. I've got to jump in here to share some insight on the mission of CTbites. We clearly state that we celebrate the best of Fairfield County...meaning we will never slam a restaurant...we will simply not write about said venue. CTbites is a curated site written by contributors who are passionate about the subject and interested in supporting the food scene in this community. We do not receive funding (I wish!). Enjoy the pretty photos and yell if you have any additional questions.
