Sunday Night In Charleston + lunch
I see the CRU and FIG are closed on Sunday, anything similar in that area that's open Sunday night, its me and my daughter, we are looking at the College, good bar food would probably be fine. Not looking for anything too upscale. Also, Should I make a reservation for breakfast at Toast. And any rec's for good lunch spots are appreciated. Thanks.
When is your trip? Where are you staying?
82 Queen is not totally upscale, but pleasant. It would be nice for a mom and daughter dinner. I don't think you'll need reservations for Toast, but October is crowded, especially since we have cruise ships embarking and debarking.

Go to the Farmer's market on Saturday morning. It's right by your hotel and has some great breakfast items.
On Sunday, King Street will be closed to traffic from Calhoun down to Queen. It's called Second Sunday and it's fun. Many restaurants put tables out in the street. Just walk down, look at menus and see what looks good to you.
I did the the same thing five years ago.Daughter is now a senior.
"Cru and FIG" and "bar food and not too upscale" don't really jive.
Consider King Street Grille,Fast & French,Virginia's on King,Sermet's Corner,Hominy Grill and Marina Variety Store Restaurant.
Stay off East Bay this trip.Charleston can be intimidating for a 17yo.
I think these will work for lunch and dinner except TMVS,no dinner on Sunday.
Good luck, you sure are going at the best time of the year!
