victor' falafel--RT 9
Driving west on Rt9 the other day I noticed Victor's Felafel--right on th Welleley Natick line--attached to a rental car shop (I think Hertz).
While the location looks less than promising, it is close to work. Has anyone been? I see no posts on this spot.
Thanks!

There was a review back about a year ago, but I can't seem to pull it up. The overall conclusion was not so good, and an incredibly rude owner. I haven't tried it myself, due to that posting. Maybe a second attempt would be worthwhile (I pass there everyday too!)??

Oh my lord, Science Chick-those are toe-curlingly bad reviews. My laugh out loud favorite was this, from Tatania:
"imagine my disappointment at the lack of quality -- and almost complete lack of falafel -- in the wrap at Victor's. It should be called The Empty Pita. "
Thanks for finding that--I'll stick with Falafel King in Q-town and Fordees when I'm over that way.
Funny it did not come up in my search--maybe this is a site question, but perhaps the search function is only within texts, not titles. Odd.
Anyway-thanks for the research and a good laugh--I needed it. "The Empty Pita"--I love it!

I had a hard time finding it too, even though I *knew* I had read it. The new default search is only for the past year. When I changed it to "all years" it came up.

Unless they're somehow reopened in the last month, Victor's has been closed for about a year.

That's what I thought too. I drive by there quite a bit and haven't seen it opened in months although from the outside it looks the same as it did when it opened. i.e. "grand opening" sign etc.

Too funny......yes, I drive by there daily and thought they were still open because of the signage! Never stopped due to the bad posts here........

Yeah - I get gas at that Hess station, and I *think* I'd notice them reopening, but I've certainly missed bigger events.

if you want a real falafel wrap or an awesome gyro, try the grilling greek in downtown Natick. There was a review in the Globe's cheap eats a couple months ago. the lamb is very tasty. it's shaved leg of lamb. not kebobs or frozen gyro strips. and the home tatiki is very nice.

Paid closer attention when driving by this morning and saw a "For Sale" sign for the building.
