Rob Evans on Chopped [moved from Northern New England]
Eat Maine mentioned on Facebook yesterday that Hugo's and Duckfat owner Rob Evans will be appearing on "Chopped" next Tuesday night on Food Network. I've always thought he should take on an Iron Chef, but this should be great to watch as well.

re: LurkerDan
I am a regular Chopped watcher and thought this was a really good episode. The judges definitely made some comments about Rob Evans being a little overqualified for the show and in my opinion he seemed much more talented than most of the chefs who compete.
The best part was that we had the pleasure of eating at Hugo's this past weekend and it was really great food. Might have to go back to Portland just to eat there again!

I don't normally watch Chopped, but as an unabashed lover of Hugo's, I watched this episode. Rob is a Zen master, so calm when everyone else around himwas going crazy. Great looking dishes, though the judges were kind of a-holes. I hear that they are always like that, though. I won't give away what happened!

has all the episodes, judges, ingredients, and contestants (in order of elimination). All it lacks is a description of the dishes made.Evans is on the (currently) second to last episode (10-7)
