Westerly RI dinner; South County breakfast

LauraBear Oct 6, 2011 06:36 AM

I will be bringing a group to the Ocean House in Westerly in early November. Although we have some meals planned at the resort, some may be looking for dinner or breakfast options in the area. I know we are heading towards off season but I can readily check if a place will still be open. Any recs from reasonably-priced dinner or good breakfast? thanks

Would suggest the Trattoria recently opened in nereby Wakefield. Really great Italian food, great service with no attitude, and moderately priced. Also I'd suggest reservations, we were there on a Tuesday night and they were packed.

High street cafe in westerly is very good for brunch & dinner. Brunas table is supposed to be good, but I have never been there personally. The bridge is good as well. If anyone in your group likes beer, you must get a beer & pretzel at malted barley in westerly. They have the best fresh pretzels anywhere.
Enjoy westerly it is a great little town.

        I second...
Bruna's Table is a great little Italian place.
Malted Barley is terrific beer bar if you want drinks. Pretzels are great!

Guytanno's is very good for dinner. Cooked Goose is good for breakfast, both are not far from Ocean House.

84 High Street has a fantastic brunch. Have the Eggs in Purgatory. Olympia Tea Room is a landmark in Watch Hill, is it open off-season?

Olympia Tea Room is great but I believe they already closed for the season. LOVE the Malted Barley pretzels!

Matunuck Oyster bar for dinner. I second the vote on 84 High Street - I prefer to hang out in the bar in back where the selection of beers, and the bar special drinks are always interesting
